Why Race Tracks Run American Racer Racing Tires
Our spec tires are built to open comp standards. We are especially careful regarding the purity and consistence of the tread compounds. I have heard many racer claim that tire companies “work off their bad batches of rubber in spec tires because we have got to run them anyway”. That is certainly not the case with us. As a diversified tire manufacturer we have non-race related outlets for “bad batches of rubber”.
The central concept of spec tire racing is that no one has a tire advantage. We work very hard to make sure that the tread rubber we make in July is just like the tread rubber we make in April. Tracks that run our tires almost never have issues with performance differences between different runs of their spec tire.
